There was a story I began
A pleasing imaginary prose
That it details parts of us
Was something I didn’t know;
So now I’m at the chapter
At which I’m uninspired
Will you not write it with me
Till the ending that does matter.
Monthly Archives: September 2016
Daily Prompt: Unfinished
Daily Prompt: Generous
I would be
Generous as the Sun
With its light and warmth
For those who understand
The magnitude of
My love.
Daily Prompt: Together
Together
To gather all
Courage to love
Through the impossible
Believing that it will
Outlast all pain
Overcome all odds
Together.
Angel Eyes
This prose is surely not mine
And only a title will I give;
But those who know it know its depths
And the depths it shall redeem.
And when the shaves of pure light
Dance in her clear eyes,
I see my angel for the first time,
Know my purpose, feel my birth,
Hear, at first faintly, then distinctly,
The sweet strains of our union,
Our love heats up the cold universe,
And gives my tired, desperate hope a
Reason and season to be revealed,
We, purified by our kisses,
Are eternally healed.
– ‘Thomas More’ in “The Saint”
Armour Of Death
My muse it calls and I shall heed,
A prose it sings, to write and bleed.
You told me to bring
Me back, but can’t you see
You’re connected to me;
I can’t return when you’re
Not back, my heart is dead
Though it might resurrect;
For now it lies, protected
Beneath the armour of death
Perhaps one day it’ll live
May it come sooner yet.
Daily Prompt: Elegant
Charming by nature, elegant by grace.
The Dividing Line
What if I told you
That the line
Was never meant to
Divide two sides,
But to unite?
Stray Bullet
If your words are stray
Bullets, still I wouldn’t run
They might wound my flesh
But they shall save my heart.
Break Me
Break me completely
Into speckled grain, then
Sieve me into you
Make us, whole again.
