When grasped too tight

Minute naggings of the mind

Caught in a tussle of
Decisions, one sometimes
Falters in resolve, being only
Human of weak constitution.

She always has a way
Drawing my words out
Like a sword draws blood
Bleeding my raw desires dry
Until depleted, time after time.

Troubled Seas 苦海

One must, in life
Sail through stretches of
Troubled seas, that with experience
We become veterans of
Life’s weathering.
