Young and True

I think I am not too young to know the song Hands To Heaven by Breathe; it is one of my all-time favourite. I love it for its breathy surreal ambience and of course, the vivid inspiration.

The stars are bright and clear tonight
And I am here with you
No one else will find us here
In this darkened room

The night breeze seems to dance and tease
Caressing the muslin drapes
Here we sit in silence still
As moonlight floods this place

When morning comes you will be gone

Just as you promised to

So come with me now, my love

The night is young and true

I watch you as you look at me
With eyes that hold my gaze
And feel your warm and steady breath
Against the skin of my face

I can taste your lips on mine
And the aftertaste that lingers
Like poison that slowly takes one’s life
Such sweet intoxication

When morning comes you will be gone

Just as you promised to

So come to me now, my love

When night is young and true

* Bridge *

When morning comes you will be gone

Just as you promised to

So come unto me now, my love

For night is young and true

Come unto me now, my love
For night is young and true
