Gravitate

Everyone this near;
Yet all that I can do is
Gravitate to you.

Tapestry

So we shall store
All these perfect or
Broken pieces of us,
That we may look back
When we have gone
Far enough, to marvel
Our tapestries of life.

Package

I packed a little
Part of me in that
Package you should’ve
Received, wishing
It is I you would
Be holding
Right now.

Word

Can one write a
Poem with a singular
Word;
Unmundane nor
Flamboyant
Balanced precarious
Upon its lines and curves
Yet not diminish
Its meaning?

Daily Prompt: Pensive

Sit
Window
Contemplate
Stir a dark brew
Take a wisp of sip
Stare out at the sidewalk
For the true meaning of being.

The Rain Must Fall

A tune I listened, another title I wrote.

If I made you doubt
Your perfection for me
I never meant it
That way;
The rain must fall
So flowers will grow
And time must pass
So the truth will show.

Discover Challenges: Apology

If you love
Me, let me run
And hide, away from
Everyone with my
Demons inside;
Let me battle
My tangent thoughts
And cut through
Devilish rationality
And I promise I’ll
Be well soon
Forgive and wait
For me.

Composed

That silence shall gag
All wayward thoughts
Killed before they speak;
To be composed
As I’m thought to be;

No, I’m not that strong
Yet silence gags and speaks.

Feet

Knobby hands of wrinkled age
Grip metal railings tight
Gently her hems dance to
The warm afternoon breeze
As she walks carefully
Feet bare along pebbled paths;
She enjoys the moment
Therapeutic stones
On awakened feet.
