Daily Prompt: Childlike

Once upon a time
Very very long ago
There lived a little girl
As the story goes

There were wrong things she did
And right ones she didn’t do
Sometimes she felt sad
And wondered what to do

But the biggest regret
Of her entire life
Was of doing the wrong things
When she knew they ain’t right

But my dear, there’s no point
In feeling so bad
No bouts of guilt or anger
Can make time turn back

So the best thing to do
Before your next path
Is being wise, think it through
Always be true to yourself.
